Welcome to the brand new version of Washington DC Chat, which
was the very first Internet chat room devoted to the Washington,
DC area. This is the place where you can talk, live and in real
time, to your online neighbors in the Washington, D.C. area or
to others who are interested in this area. To run Washington,
D.C. Chat, you will need a Java-enhanced browser such as
Netscape 3.0 or later. Good luck, and have fun chatting!
Instructions

Type your message in the box at the bottom, and hit enter
to send.

To find out more about a particular user, highlight that
person's name in the list at the right by clicking on
it and then click on the "User Info" button.

To send a private message, select one or more names in the
list on the right, select the "Private Chat"
checkbox in the lower right corner, and then type in your
message and hit the enter key
-
Click the "Float" button to launch a separate
chat window (so you can surf while you chat).

When you're finished, click the "Log off!"
button to sign-off.
