The Alpine Dancers, led by Herbert and Carol Traxler, are a local folk dance group based in New Carrollton, MD, who perform throughout the greater Washington and mid-Atlantic area. They specialize in intricate couples and trio figure dances from Austria and Germany. They perform wearing traditional Austrian or German Tracht.
