The page is very easy to make and can be done in 5 minutes. If you know how to fill out a form on the web, you know how to make a home page under this program. No knowledge of HTML or FTP is required, nor do you have to rent any server space (but if you do know HTML, you can use it to spice up your page). You don't even have to pay for Internet access, since you can create or update your home page while visiting your local library, public school, or any other public place with Internet access.

You can log onto the system at any time (with a username and password that you choose when you first create the page) and update your page if your information changes or when we add new features. • A Web Site Manager that lists all of your pages and allows you to view, modify, copy, rename, or delete them, as well as create new pages, update your account profile or delete your account altogether, activate or deactivate your guestbook, upload graphics, and upload sounds. It also lists your current web space used (we are currently allowing one megabyte of disk space per user).

Version 1.1 (released September 20, 1997) included the following improvements over Version 1.0:

• The quotation marks bug has been squashed. Previously, if a user placed quotation marks inside of the HTML that he or she placed on the page, the script would not display anything within that field that came after the first quotation mark. Now, users can place quotation marks within their HTML tags, just like they normally would.
• The demo page for the user's new home page has been given cosmetic improvements in order to make the options clearer.
• The home pages now include the Washington, DC Registry's new button, the date that the page was last updated, and our copyright notice/disclaimer.

• You can now easily modify your page. The script will automatically fill in the modify form with all of the information from your previous page (but only if that page was created under the beta version).
• You can now easily delete your page by clicking on a couple of buttons.
• You can now include a visitor counter on your page
• The script includes much stronger security measures.
• The script is more user-friendly and intuitive
• The script provides a "Help" button at the bottom of every page
