Voices from Within the Well of Wishes
Green Grass Meadows

Over green grass meadows,
and golden hills,
lays a land of a thousand thrills.

By the green grass meadows,
there comforts a pond,
sits crystal castles far beyond.

Knights in shining armor,
battle their prey.
In many vast fields,
where they now lay.

A fairy tale still untold,
of a brave knight,
strong and bold.

Over the clear blue pond,
far away is his love.
A princess pure,
as an enlightened dove.
With a love so sweet,
it calls to his heart.
A love so pure,
it hurts being apart.

One clear night he set a sail,
with glittering stars to guide his trail.
For this journey he so longed to take,
Forever to be with his love…his beautiful mate.

Worldly Feelings
Life and Death

Powerless we stay put,
living when time permits,
collecting food or moving on,
when they stop we run,
even when entrapped by mines,
giving limbs to eat or flee,
wondering who to ask,
wondering who has the key.
And those who know,
so silently, they sit,
and stare, pondering strategy,
they rest, they bath, they eat,
and then recast their nets,
our souls and lives entangled,
in their self-centered ploys,
searching, begging,
we continue to exist,
living for a glimpse of joy.
And there are those who remember and
those who will not and refuse,
those who are too young to know, and
those who come and go,
those who care and others who don't, and
those we hear of far away,
those in whom our hopes are placed, and
those who sold our faith.
But most of all we rest our hope,
on those who know,
those whom we rare or never see,
those who know and care.
